Hi, I'm Vijayeta Sinh. Columbia University-trained Clinical Psychologist & Life-Relationship Coach.
The landscape of failed marriages & relationships are devastatingly high for smart, highly educated, & industrious women. There is something missing in our inability to see the depletion in our relationships because our lives are so busy & we are busy trying to be all that we are expected to be– strong, resplendent & powerful. And yet, this approach does not work in our personal lives. We can unknowingly sledgehammer a good relationship because we believe we “deserve better” or “shouldn’t put up with this”.
Couples therapy can sometimes feel like putting a bandaid on a gushing wound, and may actually do more harm than good despite all good intentions.
I’ve spent the last 15 years working with individuals & couples, and incorporating everything I know about attachment, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and internal family systems theory, and translating those ideas into a new method for working with partners looking to rescue their marriage or relationship. Relationships feel hard because relationships are hard. And it’s surprising how our old childhood triggers are very much alive in the present & in our marriage! That’s right! How you were raised affects so much of what you do—as a partner, a parent, and a friend. But you’re not locked into those old patterns forever. You’ll learn how to take care of your own wants and needs, how to stop blame, shame, and guilt spirals, and how to make big changes through small manageable steps.

Conversations get heavier, there’s little time to connect, and often we’re angry about things we don’t know how to articulate.
